mmWave System
The mmWave domain consists of the TX path, propagation channel, and the RX path.
1. TX Path
It is the path that amplifies the FMCW modulator output to the desired RF power level and delivers it to the antenna.
Adjusting the output power according to the target detection range can save power.

2. Propagation Channel
Represents the medium through which mmWave signals travel between the transmitter and the receiver.
Includes effects such as free-space loss, reflection, attenuation, scattering, and fading.
Determines the signal strength and quality at the receiver.

3. RX Path
Receives the reflected RF signal from the target and amplifies it using LNA.
Downconverts the signal into baseband I/Q components using mixers and a reference signal(TX-Ref).
Outputs processed baseband signals for further digital signal processing.

The mixer converts the RF signal into a complex baseband signal while preserving phase information.
It enables separation of I/Q components to distinguish positive and negative frequencies.
This allows accurate extraction of frequency and phase for range and velocity measurement.
